Prayerhub Bulletin 30th April 2014
Rev Ken Fitzsimmons - Prayerhub Ministries
NEWS FROM THE PRAYERHUB
The last newsletter brought you the news of the sudden death of our dear friend and sister, Lynn. Her life and testimony were a blessing to a lot of people, and the effect of her life and death will be that many are drawn to Jesus. That has already begun.
We read in Revelation 19 v10 that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Prophecy is the word from God that speaks of the future and changes the present. We all have a responsibility to share the testimony of what Jesus has done in our lives for there are many who need to hear that Jesus can be the answer to their need too, in just the same way as he has answered ours. Testimony is the prophecy of hope for the future and enables people, by the faith it generates, to invite the power of God into their lives to change the ‘now’, whether that need be forgiveness, healing, peace or whatever. Through our testimony, many will be born again into God’s kingdom by the power of the Holy Spirit and receive healing.
Some changes at the Prayerhub and other news
From the beginning of May, the Prayerhub will be open as a ‘drop in’ on Tuesday afternoons (2-4) and Wednesday mornings (10-12) only. We are beginning a series of Bible teaching groups on alternate Thursday mornings (at 10am), starting on May 8th. We also intend to run the same group material on the same Thursday evening at 7.30pm. This means that it is available daytime or evening. If you are interested in coming to either, please contact me on the prayerhub mobile number 075 999 85836. There are a limited number of places, and it helps us to plan if we have an idea of numbers.
The prayer ministry at the prayerhub continues to grow. If you believe the Lord is laying it on your heart to be part of the prayer ministry at one of our gatherings, or in another way, please phone on the number above.
We have been blessed to hear how many people have been asking when we would return to run the coffee mornings in the local libraries, which we put on hold when Lynn’s went to be with the Lord. We are glad to announce that we’re back, and especially because it is again headed up by Keith who, with Lynn, got it all going in the first place. This is a door that the Lord opened up for us and we pray blessing on Keith as he continues this special work.
We are organising a coach trip to Chester on May 17th. Those going will get a day out in the city and then gather at teatime at a local church hall for food and to hear testimony about Jesus. We hope that we will fill the coach with a mixture of Christians and non Christians so we can share the Gospel. We are only charging enough to cover our costs. Contact us if you want any more information.
Thank you for your prayers
Blessing in the Name of Jesus on you and all your family
Ken
